Software Development

Groundwater Hydrology Division is continuously involved in development of various semi-analytical standalone models and web applications. The models are being used in different studies, whereas the web-applications are hosted in public domain on NIH server for public access. Some of the software developed by the GWHD include:

  1. A web based application on groundwater recharge estimation model (WEGREM) is hosted on NIH website. Link to access the system is: http://117.252.14.242/WEGREM/WEGREM.html
  2. The Scientists of the GWHD were involved in the development of Groundwater Module of the National Hydrological Model (NHM) which is a Large scale conceptual hydrological model using spatial inputs. The model has been developed at IIT-Kharagpur in collaboration with NIH, Roorkee and NERIST, Nirjuli.
  3. The Scientists of the GWHD were involved in the development of “Integrated GEE-MODFLOW based Groundwater Recharge Assessment System” which has been recently completed and tested for the Hindon River System.
